Erik Maddox is cosine's expert in ionizing radiation detection. He has worked on the development of scintillators, (compound) semiconductors, silicon sensors and silicon drift detectors and the corresponding read out systems. He is an expert in experimental methods using these devices and the design, simulation, caracterisation, calibration and data analysis of radiation detection systems. He has extensive experience in the development of new gamma-ray scintillators and low-resource multipurpose radiation monitors.

Erik Maddox has a PhD degree in experimental physics and his professional interest is in radiation detection systems. During his work at the National Institute for Subatomic Physics (NIKHEF) and DESY in Hamburg he has gained valuable knowledge and experience in particle detection.
